Serengeti National Park

The Serengeti National Park is arguably the world’s best known wildlife reserve, unsurpassed for its natural beauty and scientific value, and has the largest concentration of plains game in Africa.
The Serengeti National Park was established in 1951. It is home to the world’s greatest wildlife spectacle: the great wildebeest and zebra migration. The resident population of lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes and birds is also impressive. There is a wide variety of accommodation, from luxury lodges to mobile camps.
This is the migration for which the Serengeti is perhaps most famous. Over a million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebra move throughout the year in search of pasture (click here for more information on the Great Migration). Join us to explore the different vegetation and landscapes of the Serengeti ecosystem and meet some of its most fascinating inhabitants.
